Two ovals, one above the other: the top pavé-set with colorless cubic zirconia in rhodium plating, the one below left plain in matte gold. The lower oval is shaped rather than flat, so it curves away from the ear and catches light along its length.

Why pavé setting
Dozens of small stones set close together, with almost no metal showing between them. The surface reads as light rather than as separate stones — which is what holds the top oval against the plain gold below.
